It was about time...

We always felt sorry for those people that you saw stranded on the side of the freeway as you drove by, just staring, never stopping....well that was US this time. 3 kids and a jam packed car full of stuff from our few week long summer vacations. Stranded in the middle of August in the dead heat of Palm Springs...aka hot as H.E. double hockey sticks! Luckily it was just a flat tire.

But this guy never ceases to amaze me. He had that tire fixed in no time and we were on our way home. Hey, I guess it could have been worse, right?!

A day later... we got home and cleaned the Pathfinder and then decided since we had to go the Valley to get a tire to fit the right size that we would put this lil gem up on Craigslist and see if we would have any interest in it.So this is how my mind works...well it was time for 4 new tires and soon we will be needing a bigger car anyways, so we might as well sell the car instead of wasting the money on new tires when were just going to need to sell it soon anyways. Why buy 4 new tires if you aren't even the one who will get to enjoy all that tread on them?! But we knew we couldn't sell it with the spare on, and then another tire was really bad too...so we just bought 2 used tires. Long story short, within a few hours of posting the add we had a lot of interest. So once we got the used tires on we met up with some dude who was really interested in it, so interested that right on the spot he bought the car! So Pathfinder was gone. I kinda get attached to things and was a little bit sad....for reals. I had so many great memories in this car. And actually it wasn't really even MY car at first:) This was Brian's car he bought after his mission and when we met in college and started dating, I think that's about when it became MY car....haha.. Anyways so we have many memories in this car from those first dates and many kisses:) to bringing every single child home from the hospital in it. So ya, who woulda thought that someone could be sad about selling a car! Don't ya worry I didn't cry.

Had to put in a picture of a kid at least. Bryce got his "car"
looking all nice and clean too!
So there we were with no car, and just happened to be right by all the car dealerships on Superstition Springs Blvd. "Honey, lets just go take a look...it will be real quick." So a few hours later we were the proud owners of a new car big enough to fit our growing family....well at the time, we thought it was growing, so it made all this make that much more sense. But that is a whole other post that may or may not ever get posted.

When I think of you and a car, I think of the blue saturn. Whatever happened to that car? So many memories driving around in that car! I haven't seen you forever. We need to get together. Call me next time you are in town. Seriously!
