Seriously have I been hiding under a rock or what?! I have heard things about Dora and Diego but really didn't know what the show was about. Until recently when both my sweet children have decided that they didn't want to nap anymore. We don't have any fancy cable with that many kid shows on, and my kids have never really been into watching movies- but obviously having the 3 little ones, I need a little peace and quite every once in awhile! So one day we were in the playroom and Dora came on in the afternoon and my kids eyes were seriously glued to the screen the whole 30 minutes- and then she came on AGAIN!! Saweet- just found myself a little afternoon babysitter! Bryce seriously has NEVER watched a TV show, maybe it is just his age all of a sudden but I had never gotten him to sit still long enough to watch a show and now I am worried that he might seriously have an addiction! The other morning Bryce wanted to watch Dora and kept crying saying, "Dora Please Mommy." over and over again and over again... and since we didn't have any DVD's. I decided the quickest solution was to order Netflix to get my little boy his Dora! (yes- great parenting I know, but seriously this kid doesn't ask for much?!) So now we have a subscription to Netflix and Dora is just a button click away. Bryce has been using my laptop to watch his shows and this is how I caught him the other morning. He even knows how to use the mouse to scroll to the next episode. If you ask him who his girlfriend is...he is not afraid to tell you, "it's Dora mommy." So on our recent trip to California and back we rented Dora Redbox's along the way and no joke the 2 kids didn't make a peep the whole time...now if only we could get Chace into Dora.
So now I love when Brian comes home from work and says, "So honey, what did Dora teach our kids today?"
