I DID IT, I DID IT, I DID IT...

Thanks to the newest member of the family chanting along for me, I DID IT... I successfully IRONED, and it was more than ONE shirt. I had a lot of thoughts going through my mind as I was doing it the whole time. First off, I would like to thank Dora for being introduced to our family. I probably couldn't have done it without her. While Chace was napping Brynnly & Bryce watched a good 2 and a half hours of pure Dora, possibly without even blinking ... which brings me to another post in itself...but that will have to follow this one.
I am seriously anti ironing- a good spray down with a water bottle and into the dryer it goes for a couple minutes and if their isn't enough time for the dryer part-then a little damp shirt never hurt anyone- and thats my kind of ironing, or if its something of the kids my straighther for the hair usually does the trick just as well!

Brian has asked before if I would iron a shirt, and I just always brush it off without really meaning to. I figure he has a lot of other shirts to choose from, so just change into one of those wrinkle free ones ( i love those-and need to get some for my lil boys) Anyways, so I feel like I am always buying Brian work shirts and then I will ask him, well why don't you where this one or that one...and so on...and then he says, "because it has to be ironed." So pretty much I would rather keep buying him new shirts, rather than ironing the ones that he has and has only worn once! Is that lazy or what?! But with 5 members of the family wearing clothing, my laundry days are long enough and bringing ironing to the mix is just not going to be in the rotation.

Then another thought came to me about how my good friend Marci would always iron her nieghbors clothes. I would call to ask her to "play" and she would say, once she got her ironing done. At the time I thought lucky her, she gets to iron and make money...how hard could that possibly be?! Well now I am looking for a little girl down the street to iron my clothes...any takers?! I will match what Marci use to get paid 10+ years ago...has it really been that long?! Wow- now, its probably quadrapled in price since that many years ago. I guess I could take them to the cleaners but thats more work. Anyways their is my vent about ironing.
After I was all done today I was seriously proud of my work and hopefully Brian will be as excited as I was about ironing all his shirts- hopefully he will notice, oh wait-he will have to because I have them all hanging on the ironing board set up in the room right when you walk through the door. Now I am going to be nervous for him to sit down and put a wrinkle in them- guess he CAN'T wear them...but at least they'll look good hanging in his closet.
What I have learned from ironing today?
DO NOT buy 100% cotton shirts...
Even if they are cheap and seem to be a good deal at the time.
Does anyone else hate ironing as much as me?!

And seriously if I have to hear, (I'm the map, I'm the map, I'm the map) one more time, I might go crazy!!

Tiffany! you are so funny! I HATE ironing too! I never ever do it, and totally do the dryer thing, or my hair straightener if its really bad. I blame all the steaming I had to do at Baby Gap on my aversion to ironing... :)
I have friends, who, *gasp* actually iron the bed sheets! hahaha,

What about "Swiper no swiping??" Ive had some Dora days in the past before I even had a kid!! Tiff- something I had to learn marrying a man that likes to look spiffy...Ironing. I still have no clue what to do or if Im burning the shirt or steaming to hard or how to get between the buttons or on the creases on the sleeve BUT I somehow get it done. A little toss into the dryer when no one is watching helps.
