Saturday Daddy's Day

Daddy has been working for the past few Saturdays so we haven't gotten much play time with him lately. So when we all woke up he told us that he had a cool place to take us to go hiking. I am not a fan of hiking, so usually I try to convince him to do something else, but I know he loves to go with the kids and so I figured I would be a good sport and let him plan the whole day without me putting in my two cents! I still can't believe that all 3 of our kids hiked without one complaint down to these waterfalls and back up this big mountain. They LOVED it, they love nature and anything that has to do with it. Brian calls me Mrs. Safety because I am always a worried wart about everything. I say, "No, I am just a MOM."

I am afraid to see what he does with the kids if I weren't there. They all wanted to hop rocks over to the otherside, but I thought it looked too scary for my little munchkins.

A hike is not complete without at least catching one lizard. These little guys were fast today, but they finally caught one.

Daddy teaching the kids how to skip rocks.
They liked to just throw the rocks in and watch them splash.
I just love days when we get to spend time as a family and see the kids play and have fun. Good thing we have daddy to keep us entertained all the time. We love Daddy!!
After our hike, we came home and ate lunch, kids took naps along with daddy, and then we went on a stroller ride to the park to play some tennis. We aren't tennis players, but it was sure fun trying to play. The kids just ran around the courts as we tried to play. And then we went and got icecream and ate enough to make sure that the calories we burned today were all canceled out by eating SOOO much icecream!
