October is ONE of my favorite months of the year because there just always seems like there is something to do or a party to go to and unfortunately because of the "swine flu" our family was found locked up in the house for most of the month dosing up on all this fun stuff. (this is how many medicines that we had to take between Bryce, Chace & I)

Rumor has it that once you have gotten it, then you can't get it again...so I am hoping that this is true because it really was an awful sickness and glad that we got it over with for the first part of the winter here. Brian stayed home for the week and played the role as Mr. Mom around the house. I think this is the first time in our marriage that I have ever been real sick where I couldn't even get out of bed and it was NO fun! I seriously couldn't have survived without all his help. I appreciated all that he did, and I think after a week of being Mr. Mom he definitely had a greater appreciation of what I do everyday!!
This was the extent of our pumpkin carving this year...the kids loved it though, and I loved it because their was no mess.
We missed a few parties that we had planned on going to which I was bummed about because I love to dress up for Halloween. (once we got sick we took back Brian's and mine costume because I didn't think we would be better in time for Halloween) But we were all better a few days before Halloween so we got to go to Brian's work party and then Halloween night went over to my parents and took the kids trick or treatin' around their hood. The kids had a really fun time and it was fun to see Brynnly get so excited and understand the whole trick or treating thing this year. Brian didn't go with the family theme for his work party because his team dressed up as zombie golfers... so he had a golf ball stuck to the side of his head with blood coming out and it scared Bryce. He kept saying, "daddy haf my gof ball in his head, he scary" He was saying that over and over ALL day, it was so funny.
Our little Cheerleader...Football studand the cutest little football (I serioulsy can NOT get enough of this kid, I love him soooo much!)And it works out nice that Britt & I have the same age and sexes of children, so we just dressed the kids all alikeRyk and Bryce got their suckers and were ready to call it a night. They weren't into it as much as the girls.Ridge is a tank compared to my lil man... I think we know who is going to be the linebacker!! And he is a month younger than Chace and probably doubles him in weight. Grandma Russell with all her grandkids minus Chace... he was sleeping back at the house. Its like having 3 sets of twins when she watches them all.Brynnly had a little preschool party and she wanted to go as a "kitty cat" for this party. Brynnly and her little sidekick... Bryce is always so sad when she leaves to preschool, it is so cute. They seriously play so well together all day and I just love it!
Now that October is over, it is on to the next holiday...
