Annual Halloween Pumpkin Carving

The whole "original Russell's" plus our little ones.

Brynnly was so excited to carve her pumpkin. We have been reading the book, "The Littlest Pumpkin" and she loves it. We have to read it a million times throughout the day and then right before bed every night. She memorizes parts of the book and reads it to us. So tonight before we started carving pumpkins she helped tell the story. In the book it talks about turning pumpkins into Jack-O-Lanterns... so she couldn't wait to turn her pumpkin into one.

Us sisters love every holiday and the activities that come along with it. We talked for the last few weeks about having a pumpkin carving party and we went and picked out the pumpkins and got all excited, but really when it comes time to actually do the carving, we sit back and take pictures while the boys carve away. This year the boys decided to take it up a notch and actually do some creative carvings with the pumpkins and here they are with their finished products.

P.S. She is so brave to fight the bees with a stick - I could totally picture it- girl's got spunk!!
