I have always loved the 4th of July, not only just for the excuse to buy matching outfits for the whole family or the fact that Brian gets the day off but truly for what it stands for, Independance.
We had a great day together as a family. We started off the day going to Best Buy. Since we are building a new house we find ourselves looking at appliances in all different stores and checking out the best prices on a daily basis. Who ever knew that it would be so much fun to shop for a stove or dishwasher?! Is this one of those signs of were getting old?!

Then we headed to the San Tan Mall and met up with Britt and her family for a little lunch.

Brian looks forward to the 4th every year so that he can wear this shirt. He has worn that every 4th of July since we have known eachother. I went shopping for the rest of our outfits, but I figured why get him something new when he can pull of looking so sexy in that shirt?!
We then headed over to my parents and went swimming and had a nice relaxing day with the Russell fam. The place we normally go for the 4th was not doing it this year, so we decided to not deal with fighting traffic and dealing with the heat and just had Breckyn and Todd babysit our kids while Britt, Jake and us went out for a nice night. By night we had to do our second outfit change for the day.
We realized that going out to eat on the 4th was the thing to do, because their was no wait anywhere and we pretty much had the place to ourselves. I guess we were the only party poopers this year. We went to Chilli's and then saw the movie Hancock, which I thought was a pretty cute movie. Sad to say that we didn't even see one firework. Next year for sure we will be celebrating though.

Hey, so I am coming to Utah after all! Still want to meet up?! I think we should all get together Saturday and go to lunch! What do you think? I will probably sleep at Dana's Friday night, but she has a wedding that day, and I leave back to Idaho Saturday evening (5ish) so lunch would be best!
