Happy Father's Day

Since it was Father's Day I let Brian sleep in while I got up with the kids, but he realized that you can't really sleep in because the kids are right in the next room over and are hard to keep too quiet... so I think he slept in until 7:30... which really is sleeping in for him, because he wakes up at 5 every morning to work out before he has to go to work. I keep telling him that one of these days I will be joining him on that, but as of now its not in my morning plans.

While us girls were all in the cold AC kitchen we looked out the window and so the guys out back bbq-ing out in the beautiful 110 degree weather...we felt bad for a second making them grill the steaks for the dinner. But heck, we wanted a good meal, so I guess thats what the guys got to do on their Fathers Day.

My mom got Brian his favorite kind of rootbeer to celebrate and Brynnly loved it too. I don't think I like the image of my sweet little daughter drinking from that kind of bottle!

Enjoying our nice Steak dinner. My dad sure knows how to grill! We had a fun time hanging out with the family and afterwards watching the Lakers game. Brian can only handle so much of watching the game with my dad and bro though because they love to root for the other team...always, when it comes to the Lakers!

My dad has always been such a great example for me and I love many qualities that he has. One of my most favorite things to do is call him and talk on the phone. I think that it is so special that I can have an hour conversation with my dad, just as though I am talking to a friend. Usually the conversations are repeated over and over again...but thats one more thing that makes my dad so SPECIAL! He forgets that he told you the story before and even if you try to finish the story to let him know that "yes I have heard this before dad" he just keeps on talking and finishing as if you had never heard it before. Either he is the busiest man in the world, or has all the time in the world when I call him. He makes me laugh, and I love that about him!

Brian is such a great father and I can see the love that he has for his children. He gets sad when they are sad and has all the patients in the world. Brynnly & Bryce love when daddy comes home from work. He knows that if he lays on the floor that he will get mauled by his 2 children... but he loves it! I cherish the times that I see them playing together and just love standing back and watching. A bond that children have with their fathers is so important. I always wish that Dads aka Brian did not have to work, so that they wouldn't miss out on all the little things that the kids do throughout the day. I am so thankful that my kids have a wonderful daddy in their lives.
