You know that you are officially obsessed with checking the mail when...
1. both the children are asleep and you can't help but think of how annoyed you are today that you can not check the mail because the two mail keys that you have are on your keychains and you realized that you left your set of keys in the car that your husband has at work.
2. you keep thinking that if only you had realized this earlier then you could have been there when the mailman came and therefore wouldn't have needed your key.
3. you know around the time that the mailman comes, but sometimes you go a little earlier to check it, just in case he maybe came earlier today.
4. your husband calls you to tell you that he is getting off of work early today and you get excited realizing that this means that you will be able to check the mail sooner than you thought! (I love you honey and promise I am really excited for you to come home early but you having the keys makes it all the better!)
5. you know that most the mail is going to be junk mail or bills and you still look forward to checking it!
6. you think that it is wierd when you talk to a friend and ask them if they got something in the mail and they say, "I don't know, I haven't checked it in a few days!"
I think that this obsession started my first year in college at BYU Idaho, the mailman and I knew eachother by name. I would usually be waiting there for him when he came and we would always have small talk. I was the roommate that loved to check the mail, even in the freezing cold snowstorms in Rexburg I would make the trek to the mailbox. I really don't know why I truly enjoy checking the mail, but I do. Maybe it is because that sometimes that is the only reason that I have to go outside for the day! Please, tell me that there are some others of you out there who get a thrill out of checking the mail as well?!So here is my tribute to any of you mailmans out there, I appreciate your job and just want to say Keep doing what your doing! Thanks!

I'm guessing this post was a result of Alyssa saying she hadn't checked her mail in days last night? Gosh, Tiff, with your mail obsession, I'm surprised you ended up hand delivering those cards to us. You deprived us of the joy of recieving it in the mail:). Ok, I get it, you secretly wish you were a mailwoman. Well neighbor, thanks for being our #1 customer last night!!! I LOVE the Rockbank pics too!!
K-you are to freaking funny!!So, my husband says your husband is super cool. We should double sometime, maybe play a little rockband or something.
That is so funny...and it's even more funny that I am the same way...well, not to the extreme like you are but I love getting the mail and Kyle hates it. If it was up to him, he would never get the mail. I always make him stop @ the mailbox on the way home from wk and it absolutely kills him to get the mail EVERY DAY!
I'm also obsessed with checking the mail. My mail lady comes at 3:00 and it almost kills me! Nate thinks I'm nuts. My FAVORITE is when I come home from vacation and I have a mailbox full of mail. It's almost better than Christmas. Seriously.
K, Tiffany,
You look the same as highschool...beautiful! And your family is beautiful too!
So funny!! You are so easily pleased I love it. Maybe you could set your blog up so that you can recieve your comments by mail. Just a thought. I totally remember you getting the mail in Rexberger. Classic!
you are HALARIOUS!!! okay i do share the same obsession with getting the mail-mostly at this time of the yera though (Christmas cards though-which i have yet to receive yours by the way). okay so I think the reason you love checking the mail too is b/c you are a social bug and so maybe you're hoping to receive a friendly hello from somone?? (you know since everyone sends postcards to each other these days to keep in touch). ummm...maybe you're in the habit b/c your mailman at Ricks was a hottie and you actually were 'flirting' with him and not having 'small talk'. hmmm...let's see what else. WHO KNOWS WHY YOU ARE OBSESSED!!! YOU'RE A NUTTY GIRL THAT'S WHY!!!! LOVE YOUR POST!!! I have had incidences like this with my mailmen (that have done nice things for me) and so i'll leave them little notes inside my box or something saying thanks. (no i'm not flirting!!!)
