WHITE TRASH THANKSGIVING...
The Russell side of the family has a tradition of going to the sand dunes for Thanksgiving each year. We always look forward to this trip, because it is a chance to kick back and relax, leave the makeup at home cuz it doesn't matter what you look like and always a guarenteed fun time! Usually we spend Thanksgiving eating at the Golden Corral in Yuma with many interesting people to say the least. This year we had planned on going as well, but thought that we would take our white trash Thanksgiving to a whole new level...we were waiting around to go to the Golden Corral once the husbands got back from a ride, and this huge group of people next to us were having this big Thanksgiving Feast, like they were deep frying turkeys all day and had everything from stuffing to yams. They had tables set up and everything for about 40 people or so. Well, the boys were taking forever to get back and by this time the people all had eaten their meal and we were still waiting. So then they came over to us and said that they had so much left over food and were just going to throw it out if we didn't want it... so the next thing ya know, we are piling all this food on our plates that are the leftovers of someone elses Thanksgiving dinner!! I think that this might have topped off the white trash Thanksgiving that we usually have, but it was still a fun Thanksgiving! (Side note: my mom does make us a nice Thanksgiving meal usually the Sunday before or after, so we do get to enjoy this wonderful meal....we don't let her off easy on this one!)
So, the whole weekend I kept saying how I think that the sand dunes are so pretty and I wanted to make sure that I got a picture of them before we left... so right before we are ready to pack up, this is the picture that I came up with of the beautiful dunes...not so beautiful, weeds and all! I just love when you are out riding and you can see the dunes for miles and miles and it is all smooth. Anyways, I just think that it looks so cool. So this isn't exactly the picture that I had imagined, I didn't realize that their were so many bushes behind us. Better luck next time!
My little rug rat! She was in heaven all day long playing in the sand and getting dirty.
Brynnly and Brylee are BESTFRIENDS...they are always doing something that they shouldn't be!
